Announcing: Harbor
After 12 months of hard work, we are excited to announce our newest feature, Harbor. Harbor is our tool to help you back up your data from Spokt to your computer. We want you to have control over your data, and make sure you always have access to it. We want you to always be able to access all the memories you have saved on Spokt.
There are two ways to use Harbor. It is included in our Extended & Premium Plans, or you can order an A La Carte Harbor backups on demand. In our Extended Plan, Harbor backups are semi-annual, and in our Premium Plan, you get monthly backups. Either way, Harbor gives you that little extra bit of peace knowing your data isn’t just safe — it’s yours.
We are MyFamily refugees and our hub is marked “2014 Legacy”, an undefined plan. Do we have any inherent access to Harbor, or would we have to pay for each backup?
Also, if we were to use Harbor, in what format would the backups be (photos, links, html, etc)?

So how do I do this backup?
Look for Harbor on the “Manage Hub” screen. If you need help contact support: https://spokt.com/contact
I would like to use Harbor to do a backup, and cannot find any way to get to it. Please help guide me thru it, and update my account.
Thank you
Hi, Jo! Please contact Support (spokt.com/contact), and we will be more than happy to help you. 🙂
Hi! Your subscription price will vary, depending on the size of your Hub. An A La Carte Harbor backup is a fixed price. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact Spokt Support.
How do you go about getting an estimate for backing up your site? Apparently the pricing has to do with the amount of data/images you have on the site. It’s not a set price?
No Kathleen, it is a set price. If having your own backups are important to you we recommend upgrading your hub to the Extended or Premium plan.
I too am curious how the Harbor backup will be organized. Will the comments be in a word file or a pdf? Will the photos be jpegs? Thanks!
Hi Spencer, the harbor backup is a compressed folder with a csv of the hub members, a list of all the calendar items, and one text file per post. Each text file contains all the indented replies and if there are any attachments like a photo, video, word document, etc. It shows up next to the text file it belongs to.
Can I get a backup of my site Millington Central High School Alumni site????
