Fall Sale

FFS

Did you know that you can save up to $30 on a new Hub this fall? We have made some exciting changes to Spokt, and want you to get the most out of them. A few weeks ago, we introduced our all new Hub plans: Family, Extended, and Premium. Our Family plan is perfect for families, as you might have guessed. You can have up to 75 members, with 15GB of storage. This makes it the ideal plan for close families to keep in touch. Our Extended plan is for those with a slightly larger vision in mind. You can have up to 350 members, 30GB of storage, and you will receive Semi-Annual Harbor backups and the ability to point a custom domain name to your Hub. Finally, our Premium plan is the ultimate Hub, with unlimited Hub members, a whopping 60BG of storage, a custom domain name, and monthly Harbor Backups!

Spokt has always been a great value, and this sale makes Spokt even sweeter. Our Family plan is $59/year, but if you create a new Hub by October 25, your first year will only be $44, which comes out to $3.67/month. Our Extended plan (a $149 value), is $89/year, but with our sale, your first year is only $69. If you choose our Premium plan (a $330 value), it is $119/year, but you can save $30 to pay only $89 on your first year!

We are excited to start this new season of Spokt with you, and can’t wait for you to continue sharing life’s moments with those you love through Spokt.

    Spokt,
That’s great for a new site

I have a similar question as the one posted above by Larry. I have an existing site that is not due to renew until June or July of next year. But I would like to upgrade so that we get backups periodically. How do I do this? What is the cost?

    1. Katie says:

Hi Nancy! You can check out the costs of our new Hubs here: https://www.spokt.com/hubs/new . You can upgrade at any time 🙂

  3. Same question….what is going to happen to pricing and memory on my existing three Hubs ?

    1. Katie says:

Hi Dave! All existing Hubs will be automatically sorted into the appropriate new Hubs, and you will have the option to continue or end your subscription.

    2. Nancy Bryant says:

      Kate,

Now I’m really confused. We have already paid for our Hubs for a year. Are you saying we have to convert to a new hub and pay again before our year is over?

    3. Katie says:

Hi Nancy! No, you do not. If you opt to upgrade, your subscription fee will go towards the initial upgrade price. Your other option would be to wait until your next renewal date to upgrade. Please contact Support (http://www.spokt.com/contact) if you need further help.

Is the backup to our own computer or with SPOKT? It seems when I first signed up when My Family ceased to be, that SPOKT suggested that your members could, at some future time, be able to back up our sites and have control of that backup. I have the basic site and we have under 10 members. Will I have to upgrade to the much larger site in order to have the backup capability?

    1. Katie says:

Hi Pam! With Harbor, your data is downloaded to your computer. You can upgrade to a larger Hub if you would like, or you can order an a la carte Harbor backup. If you have any questions, please contact our Support Team (http://spokt.com/contact).

My current subscription doesn’t expire until September 2016 but I would like to upgrade to the new Family plan so we can avoid the ads. How do I go about upgrading while still getting credit for the remainder of my current subscription? Isn’t there someone I can talk to about this?

  6. Roger says:

Our sites are coming up for renewal soon and I am trying to determine which plan I should choose based on membership. One of the sites has aprox 250 members listed from the old myfamily site but only about 50 to 60 members are active. The other site has aprox 450 members listed but only 50 to 70 members are active.
What will happen if we make the choice that fits our active members numbers rather than the actual number listed? Should we delete the non active members, and if we do, will anything happen to postings they have made in the past?

    1. Dan says:

      Hi Roger,

If you remove users from your hub the posts they made will remain. Have you made any efforts to bring the inactive members back in? We’d love to hear any success stories or suggestions on how to make the transition smoother!

      Thanks!

  7. Nancy Bryant says:

I have a similar problem as Roger above. More than 100 members are currently listed but only about 60 have ever signed on since we made the transition to Spokt. But we would like to keep their names on postings from the past. So I’m anxious to hear the answer to Roger’s question.

  8. Roger says:

Dan, regarding your Jun 1, 2016 reply above. When we remove a members name will their name still remain with the posting?
Is there some other way to chose a plan that fits the number of active members without deleting those who have never joined us on Spotk? Which numbers show up in your system as site members? Just would like to know if people who have never joined Spokt, but are listed in the member list, are counted as members? It will save us a lot of work if we know how this process works.

    1. Dan says:

Hi Roger, If they are in the member list they count toward your membership numbers wether or not they have logged in. You can safely remove any members and their posts will continue to be displayed with their name and avatar.

  9. Nancy Bryant says:

I also want to clean up my member list. I have many people who never logged in to Spokt so based on what Dan just said I’ll go ahead and delete them. But I also for some reason ended up with duplicates of people who have signed in, sometimes they are in the list several times. Is deleting the duplicates going to cause any problems?

    1. Dan says:

      Hi Nancy,

Removing the duplicates will not cause problems. Please contact support for specific questions regarding your account like your renewal date.

  10. Nancy Bryant says:

Also, how can I tell when my renewal date is?
