Update: December 17th

I know we’re probably late for the holiday season but today we made it easier to keep in touch the old fashioned way. You can keep your contact information on spokt so your loved ones can find it whenever they want to send you some goodies. Click “Edit Profile” at the top once you’ve logged in.

New Today:

  • User Profiles with contact information
Bio, Birthday, Address, Phone Number, in addition to your name and avatar. All just as private and confidential as the rest of your spokt.com account.
  • Automatic link detection:
    Put a URL into a message (like http://www.spokt.com, www.spokt.com,
or even blog.spokt.com) and it will be linkified 🙂
  • Performance Boost (Pages should load faster):
In “the lab” we were seeing about 33% improvements
but it probably won’t be quite as dramatic in the real world. We still want it faster, faster, faster!
  • Security Enhancements
Extra Precautions taken regarding Cross Site Scripting (XSS)

Contact info in my profile…this is excellent!

I ended up posting my address in a news update but this will make it really easy to share contact info.

    Two things:
    1. Everyone from any of my hubs can see my personal info (address, etc). It would be great to have an option to select the hubs that can read my info.

    2. It would be nice to have all the names and info from everyone in a hub posted to a spreadsheet. We could then download/print out everyone’s contact info at once.

Hi Keith, thanks for the feedback.

      1. We’ll probably leave it the way it is for now since we’re geared toward families.

      2. Exactly.
